Enid High Baseball Facilities
One of the biggest changes in high school athletics over the past few years
has been the attitude toward strength and conditioning. Performing in the weight
room has become just as important as on-the-field competition. Enid High has one
of the best staffs in the state and they are committed to making
student-athletes the best they can be.
The weight room is supervised by assistant head coach James Peoples. Peoples, a
former Seminole Jr. College and Southwestern University player, oversees the
weight training program.
Every member of the staff is highly knowledgeable in the weight training field.

Indoor Hitting and Pitching Facility
Another big asset to the Enid baseball program is the indoor hitting and
pitching facility (located down the right field line). The 8,000 square foot
facility includes pitching mounds, hitting cages and coaches offices.
In 2002 the northwest corner of the facility was remodeled, adding an umpires
room, including lockers, cable TV, washer & dryer, and shower.
The indoor facility took on a different look in the fall of 2003 with the
addition of coaches offices. The 800 square foot offices, built by the Home Run
Booster Club and the Ballpark Lollygaggers, includes: heating & air
conditioning, coaches lockers, Cable TV, computers, and an open meeting area.
The facility including two pitching mounds, three hitting cages, one full length
pitching machine or live pitching cage, soft toss area, and a warm-up area.
The improvements to the Indoor facility continued this winter with the addition
of a 1,700 square foot players locker room with custom lockers for each player
as well as showers and a laundry area. The addition is fully carpeted and
climate controlled.
